The nal rounds of both the Downhill & Cross Country will be held at Pan Pac
Eskdale Mountain Bike Park, just north of Napier.
Hosted by the Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Club, and run by Mountain Bike NZ.

DH event will be on LocalDH, a 1.5km track descending approx 240m.

XC event will be held over a 5.9km multi-lap circuit. Accessed from SH2 & Tait
Both signposted from the SH2/SH5 intersection (Taupo turn-o ).
Top local riders include current World #6 downhill rider (& 2009 World Junior
Champ) Brook Macdonald & World #64 downhiller George Brannigan both
professional riders on the world cup & world championship circuits.
Only the elite XC race is UCI sanctioned & with this now being within the
Olympic qualifying timeframe, all of NZ top riders will be here, along with
some top international riders as well.

2012 season is in full roar with
the annual Triple Bridges being
held event on the banks of the
Ngaruroro River this Sunday.
The race begins on the river
banks on the Napier side of
Pakowhai and finishes a few
kilometres past the Hawke s

Calling all the trailblazers
On yer bikes: Riders on a previous Puketapu School trailbike ride.
Puketapu School is hosting its
annual Trailbike Ride
fundraiser again this year, on
Sunday, February 19.
This will be the fifth year the
school has run the event. Last
year about 500 riders took part.
The main track consists of
more than 100 kilometres of off-
road riding, divided into morn-
ing and afternoon rides, with

loop and a mini track -- both of
which are supervised and
located close to the carpark.
This year s track starts at
Sacred Hill Winery s Rifleman s
vineyard and will be signposted
from the Puketapu Pub.
Sign-in is from 8am, and there
will be a briefing at 9.30am
before the ride starts at 10am.
The cost is $40 for an adult,
and $100 for a family -- two
adults and two children.
Spectators can purchase lunch
